Pop Mart opened its largest store to date in London, at Charing Cross, in April, as the Chinese blind box toy retailer continues to expand in the UK.
The new store is over 5,000 square feet, with a ground floor and a mezzanine, making it their largest store in London so far.
It is located at 69–71 Charing Cross Road, not far from the brand’s first London store in Soho.
This is the company’s 16th store in the UK and its 7th standalone store in London. They also have dedicated spaces in Hamleys and Harrods. In many locations across London, there are also ‘robo stores’ where blind boxes can be purchased from vending machines.
At Truman Brewery in Brick Lane, Pop Mart has also recently opened a Hirono store. Centred on Pop Marts Hirono character, the store focuses on fashion and accessories over Blind Boxes.
Inside the store is Pop Marts’ expected collections of blind boxes, as well as accessories and collectables. On sale there are many of the company’s own well-known IPs, including Labubu, Molly and Skullpanda. There are also collections from DC, Harry Potter, Star Wars and other well-known brands. The store is designed in typical Pop Mart style, with bright colours, many displays, and LED screens.
Pop Mart’s attractive store designs have helped drive their success. The blind box formula, where you buy a box containing an unknown figure from a set range of figures, also incentivises people to regularly buy to try to complete the set.
The opening of the Pop Mart Charing Cross store is just part of the company’s expansion in the UK. Following UK Prime Minister Kier Starmer’s trip to China in January 2026, Pop Mart said it would open seven more stores in the UK. This will include a flagship store on Oxford Street.
At the time, Pop Mart founder Grant Wang said: “London stands at the heart of the global creative ecosystem, and we are thrilled to plant our European roots here.”
