An international coastal event held in Yancheng, and its “international circle” further expanded with new partners.
On Sept. 24, the World Coastal Forum 2025 Conference officially opened in Yancheng, China!
300 delegates from 36 countries and regions gathered in Yancheng to jointly discuss, build, and share the ecological protection and sustainable development of global coastal regions.
The report State of the World’s Coastal Ecosystems was released at the opening ceremony, for the first time the report provides a systematic assessment of the distribution, changes, and key drivers of 13 types of coastal ecosystems worldwide, and provides priority recommendations for action.

With the addition of new partners, the World Coastal Forum 2025 Conference partners has increased from the initial 15 to 25, further expanding its “international circle” and broadening the cooperation network.

Centered on the theme “Beautiful Coasts: Ecological Priority, Green Development”, Yancheng has shared its local practices at the opening ceremony and extended an invitation to the world — to join hands in protecting coastal ecosystems, advancing green and low-carbon development, and deepening international exchange and cooperation.
