Robots Get Their Own 4S Store—Beijing Leads the Way

Beijing E-Town will open the world’s first 4S store for embodied intelligent robots in August 2025 during the World Robot Conference.

Beijing E-Town will open the world’s first 4S store for embodied intelligent robots in August 2025. The launch will take place during the World Robot Conference at the Beijing Robotics Industry Park in Yizhuang.

A New Model: 4S for Robots

This robot 4S store brings together four services in one place: Sales, Spare parts, Service, and Survey. It offers a full-service model that supports the entire robot lifecycle — from purchase to maintenance and customer feedback.

The store focuses on real use cases. It includes: scenario-based demonstrations for hands-on experiences, Standardized delivery processes, On-site technical support and repair services, and Rental options for replacement units during long-term maintenance.

This model helps match supply with demand more efficiently. It also lowers barriers to adopting advanced robotics in everyday life and industry.

Growing Industry Momentum

Wang Yifan, deputy general manager of E-Town Robotics, said the company will build a professional maintenance team by working with universities and tech firms. The store aims to set a new standard for robotic after-sales support.

So far, more than 100 companies along the robotics supply chain have shown interest in joining the store project. Among them, 30 are humanoid robot makers, reflecting the rising demand for embodied AI solutions.

Beijing E-Town is now home to over 300 robotics and smart manufacturing companies. The local robot industry has surpassed RMB 10 billion (around USD 1.4 billion) in value. The area also serves as the permanent host of the World Robot Conference, reinforcing its global leadership in robotics innovation.
