Ne Zha 2 UK release set for March 14th by Trinity CineAsia.
Ne Zha 2 UK release has been confirmed as previews on March 14th and then a wide release on March 21st. UK-based distributor Trinity CineAsia secured the theatrical rights to the film from Beijing Enlight Media for 37 territories across Europe including the UK and Ireland.
Tickets can already be bought at major UK film chains such as Odeon and Cineworld.
Other European releases will follow with Deadline reporting Trinity CineAsia aim to release the film in as many territories as possible.

It was released in China on January 29th for the Chinese New Year holiday. Its strong China release has seen Ne Zha 2 rake in $2 billion so far. This box office haul has already put it as the highest-grossing animated movie of all time and a top 10-grossing movie of all time.
Ne Zha 2 has become a cultural phenomenon in China. With the film’s soaring popularity, searches for cultural tourism destinations associated with Ne Aha landmarks such as Yibin in Sichuan have surged. In January, Pop Mart launched the “Nezha: The Devil Boy Havoc in the Sea – Natural Bond Series” blind box figures, which generated over 10 million yuan in sales within just eight days.
Some fans even went as far as to get a Ne Zha inspired haircut for Chinese New Year.
In North America, Ne Zha 2 release date was February 14th and has earned almost $20 million. A small part of its overall total but a respectable amount for a non-English animated movie.
The Ne Zha 2 UK release has been eagerly anticipated. On Chinese social media platform Xiao Hongshu, many users posted how badly they wanted to watch the movie. One person claimed to have accidentally bought tickets for London, Ontario in Canada mistakenly believing it was for a UK release.
In the movie Ne Zha, a demon child raised by humans, forms an uneasy alliance with the dragon prince Ao Bing for an epic battle. In the aftermath, their bodies teeter on the edge of destruction and Ne Zha must embark on a quest to obtain an elixir to restore Ao Bing’s body.
It is a sequel to the 2019 Ne Zha which ushered in a renaissance in Chinese animated movies. The two Ne Zha movies also share the same universe as 2020’s Jiang Ziya. The movies are very loosely based on the novel Investiture of the Gods written in the 1500s by Xu Zhonglin.
