President Xi Jinping extends Spring Festival greetings to all Chinese citizens, calling for efforts to write a new chapter in the advance of Chinese modernization. 

During the eight-day Spring Festival holiday, Chinese tourists took 474 million domestic trips, an increase of 34.3 percent compared to the previous year, according to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China on 18th of Feb.

 Senior Communist Party of China (CPC) official Chen Wenqing on 8th of Feb urged police nationwide to fulfill their duty to safeguard security during the upcoming Spring Festival holiday, and their duty to maintain continuous social stability in Beijing and across the country.

Many Chinese cities are adorned with illuminated lanterns as Spring Festival is around the corner.

Many countries list the Spring Festival as a national holiday, and about one-fifth of humanity celebrates this festival in various ways.
