In pictures: China opened its largest-ever pavilion at the London World Travel Market, running from November 4th to November 6th at Excel.

The total area of this year’s China exhibition reached 402 square meters, setting a record for the largest scale in the history of China at the World Travel Market (WTM). A major upgrade from last year’s 200 square meters. For this year’s WTM, the core theme of the China stand was “China Tourism: Innovation and Integration and Green Development”. The China stand hosted around 200 participants representing cultural and tourism authorities from 13 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions, together with 56 outstanding tourism enterprises showcased collectively.

China has seen increasing inbound tourism in recent years. In 2024, the number of inbound and outbound travels by foreign nationals stood at 64.882 million, up by 82.9 percent year-on-year. Among them, 20.115 million entered China visa-free, up by 112.3 percent year-on-year.
