Starting from Nov 20: China’s Arrival Card Goes Online

China has introduced an online arrival card allowing foreign travellers to fill out their entry information before arriving in the country.

Starting from November 20th, 2025, foreigners may fill in the relevant entry information online before coming to China.

Foreign travellers heading to China, whether holding a visa or not, can fill out their arrival card online through several official channels:

On China’s National Immigration Administration (NIA) website:

From a computer: s.nia.gov.cn/ArrivalCardFillingPC

From a smartphone: s.nia.gov.cn/ArrivalCardFillingPhone

Via the “NIA 12367” mobile app

Or through dedicated mini-programs on WeChat and Alipay

For travellers who are unable to complete the online form in advance, entry information can be submitted upon arrival at immigration inspection sites at all Chinese ports of entry. They may do so by scanning a QR code, using on-site smart devices, or filling out a paper arrival card.
