Bloom across China: Different Ways to Enjoy Flowers in Spring

On this same day last year within this door,

A maiden’s face and peach blossoms made a store.

The maiden’s gone, no one knows where she be,

But peach blossoms still smile in the vernal breeze carefree.

(去年今日此门中,人面桃花相映红。人面不知何处去,桃花依旧笑春风。)

As flowers begin to bloom across China, people are eagerly embracing the joys of spring. According to the latest data from the “Qunar” platform, searches related to “flower viewing” from February to early March have surged 2.2 times compared to the same period in 2024.

Cities like Chengdu, Guangzhou, and Nanning have recently introduced dedicated flower-viewing routes and maps. Following the success of the “Train to Spring,” Chongqing has launched the “Plane to Spring” and the “Cableway to Spring.” Meanwhile, a travel company in Guangzhou has designed high-speed rail cherry blossom tours to Hubei, Wuhan, and Xianning, offering travelers unique seasonal experiences.

Beyond admiring the blossoms, people can also indulge in spring-themed delicacies, such as cherry blossom beer, locust flower steamed buns, rose-infused green rice dumplings, and flower field hot pot. These seasonal treats add a delightful culinary touch to the vibrant spring festivities.
