A Taste of Beijing International Film Festival Comes to London

The Beijing International Film Festival is coming to London with screenings of six Tiantan Award Winners at the Genesis Cinema in East London from May 10th to May 17th.

A satellite event for the Beijing International Film Festival, these special screenings bring the best of the Beijing International Film Festival to London. This unique showcase offers a rare opportunity for UK audiences to experience the richness, diversity, and creative power of Chinese storytelling on the big screen.

There is a selection of six films being screened, all previous winners of the prestigious Tiantan Award at the Beijing International Film Festival.

The Tiantan Award is the official competition section of the Beijing International Film Festival. It aims to discover and present recent outstanding films from across the globe and encourage diversity in the film industry. There are 10 categories, ranging from Best Feature Film to Best Music.

The six films being screened are G for Gap, The Shadowless Tower, Song of Spring, Lost in the Stars, Beyond the Skies, and Strangers When We Met. Ranging from war epic to thriller, they offer an opportunity to explore Chinese cinema.

The films will be screened from May 10th -17th, with a different film screening each day.

The event is hosted by the China Film Administration and Beijing International Film Festival Organizing Committee Office. They are supported by Lean in Media.

All screenings are taking place at the Genesis Cinema. It is a family-run, independent cinema and arts venue in London’s vibrant East End. Genesis is committed to exhibiting the best in independent and mainstream cinema.
