China International Supply Chain Expo Roadshow Held in London

On March 12th a roadshow event promoting the 3rd China International Supply Chain Expo was held in London.

China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) is the world’s only national-level exhibition focused on supply chains. It is organised by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) to create an international platform to facilitate communication, deepen cooperation, and promote development.

The 3rd CISCE will be held this year in Beijing from the 16th – 20th July.

In order to better prepare for the upcoming 3rd CISCE in Beijing, a roadshow event was held in London on March 12th. The roadshow was hosted by Zhang Huijuan, Chief Representative of CCPIT’s UK Representative Office.

The China British Business Council (CBBC) held the UK roadshow along with CCPIT.

It was attended by over 150 representatives from both the political and business sectors of China and the UK. Guests included Vice Chairman of the CCPIT Yu Jianlong; Chargé d’Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in the UK Wang Qi; Sir Andrew Cahn, Chairman of the China-Britain Business Council; and Jack Perry, Chairman of the 48 Group. The Lord Mayor of the City of London, Alastair King, also delivered a video message.

Zhang Haojiong (Global Marketing Director of AstraZenecas mature oncology products) and Stephanie Betant (head of the GTRF department of HSBC UK) were among the business leaders participating in the event. They delivered speeches sharing their feelings and experiences of participating in the expo.

During the roadshow, CCPIT signed exhibition agreements and letters of intent for the 3rd China International Supply Chain Promotion Expo with several UK companies including Standard Chartered and AstraZeneca.

Following its two successful events in the past, 3rd edition of the expo will take place from July 16th to 20th, 2025 in Beijing. It will feature exhibition areas for advanced manufacturing chains, clean energy chains, smart automotive chains, green agriculture chains, digital technology chains, healthy living chains, and supply chain services. So far, more than 200 companies have signed up to exhibit.

Last year’s 2nd CISCE attracted 620 exhibitors from 69 countries and regions around the world. Many UK companies joined the 2nd expo in Beijing with their supply chain partners achieving excellent results. UK attendees included Rio Tinto, AstraZeneca, HSBC, Standard Chartered, Swire, BP, and EY.

In total over 200,000 people attended the exhibition leading to more than 6,700 cooperation agreements and intentions, with a total value exceeding 23 billion US Dollars.
