Bosideng Extreme Collection explores the future of extreme technology and environmental protection.

Antarctica is the most mysterious and arduous continent on earth, not only an important location for scientific research but also holding particular significance in the global response to climate change. As global warming continues and mankind explores resources, the importance of Antarctic scientific research is becoming ever more prominent. As a long-time supporter of China’s polar scientific research, Bosideng has launched its new Ultimate Extreme Parka to provide exceptional warmth protection for the 41st China Antarctic Scientific Expedition, helping the expedition members explore the unknown.

As a leading brand in China’s down apparel industry, Bosideng has been committed for many decades to the development of technology to warm the people of the world. The launch of the new The Extreme Collection represents a new breakthrough in Bosideng’s technology and confirms the brand’s support and respect for China’s national polar scientific research endeavours. With increasing global investment in Antarctic scientific research, Chinese brands like Bosideng are playing their part in these ventures by virtue of their excellent products and sense of mission.

The London flagship store’s Extreme Collection event featured British models dressed in the same extreme Ultimate Extreme Parka worn by members of the Chinese Antarctic Scientific Expedition. Polar sledge dogs were also at the event, highlighting the history of polar exploration and giving grounds for reflection on the harmonious coexistence of human beings and nature.

The launch event attracted wide attention from the media. With innovative design and functional technology at the core of its product development, Bosideng has integrated polar scientific exploration into its own research and development. Its global consumers are benefiting from new solutions for protection from the cold, demonstrating a perfect fusion of technology and fashion.

At the beginning of the event, Dr. Karen Wang, Managing Director of Bosideng Retail Ltd, introduced the audience to the fifth-generation outdoor expedition jacket. Dr. Wang highlighted the importance of having adequately warm outdoor gear when facing the extreme environments from a historical perspective. She noted that, for the past 27 years, Bosideng has been working closely with the Polar Research Institute of China to support humanity’s challenges and exploration of the world.

Dr. Wang further explained that the latest Extreme Collection incorporates five patented technologies, drawing inspiration from the biological characteristics of polar animals, and achieving breakthroughs in insulation technology. While supporting polar research, this collection also reflects Bosideng’s commitment as a leading Chinese international brand to global scientific exploration and environmental protection.

Extreme adventure and fashion: Bosideng partners with explorers to share cutting-edge technology.

Eason Zhang, a photographer who has worked for VisitBritain, shared his experience of shooting in Antarctica. He wore Bosideng’s Ultimate Extreme Parka at the event. As an 8KRAW-contracted photographer and short film creator and producer, Eason drew on his rich field experience to discuss both warmth and fashion in extreme cold environments. He pointed out that outdoor gear needs to keep the wearer warm but must also be flexible and aesthetically pleasing to meet the requirements of a visual medium such as film.

Bosideng also invited Norris Niman, a National Geographic photographer, to discuss shooting in Iceland, where Bosideng’s professional warm gear helped him complete his outdoor photography project. Dynamic anti-cold technology helped Norris to regulate his body temperature effectively in the cold environment, reducing the classic problem of overheating when on the move and turning cold when static. The jacket delivered great comfort for long hours of work. The parka’s lightweight design and close fit provided improved mobility and balanced convenience and style, supporting Norris as he captured the beauty of Iceland.

Professional priorities meet fashion in exploring the extreme.

The new Ultimate Extreme Parka from the Bosideng Extreme Collection uses Bosideng’s pioneering Dynamic anti-cold technology, which resolves the primary challenge in extreme cold environments of heating up when on the move and cooling down when static. The warmth of the product has been tested in extreme low temperatures of -50℃, demonstrating the extraordinary strength of Bosideng as a true ‘Polar Guardian’. The Bosideng Ultimate Extreme Parka also offers other multiple benefits, including windproof, ultra-breathable and light weight properties. It features down pods that mimick a polar bear’s natural thermal insulation and has double thermal locking over shoulders and arms, with 800+ high fluffy premium down, military-grade PRIMA-LOFT top gold standard and other high-tech materials and technologies. All of these ensure warmth and represent a qualitative leap in comfort. The application of an Antarctic shark gill moisture transfer system enables moisture release while keeping the body dry.
