Young couple taking wedding photos rescue girl from pond

A new couple in Xuyi County, east China's Jiangsu Province stopped taking wedding photos and rushed to rescue a girl who fell into a pond on Wednesday.

In the county's Yingbin Park, the newlyweds heard cries for help at around 17:10 and saw a girl struggling in the water.

The groom had no time to take off his wedding tux before jumping into the water to rescue the child. He was helped by the bride waiting on the shore.

A photographer happened to get images of the good Samaritans that later went viral on social media. 

The 5-year-old girl, whose home is close to the park, was playing by the pond and accidently fell into the water. The new couple said they were happy to help and declined to reveal their names.
