Xi: China willing to work with all countries including U.S. on COVID-19 pandemic

Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday said China is willing to work with all parties, including the United States, on the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Xi made the remarks on a phone call with U.S. President Donald Trump, at the invitation from the U.S. side, on Friday. 

China will continue to provide information about the pandemic and unreservedly share the experience in prevention and control efforts, and treatment with the World Health Organization and countries including the U.S., Xi said.  

After holding the phone talks with Xi, Trump tweeted that the two sides have "discussed in great detail" the coronavirus pandemic. 

China has been through much and has developed a strong understanding of the virus, said Trump in the tweet, adding "We are working closely together."
