Over 20 years ago, Changshou Lake witnessed a sharp deterioration of ecology due to disordered aquaculture breeding. Nowadays, the lake has taken on a new look thanks to efforts of ecological restoration.

Located at the Ngari Prefecture in Tibet, the Pangong Tso Lake is at an average altitude of 4,242 meters. Its glamorous scenery and abundant natural resources attract birds of diverse species to inhabit there every year.

In recent years, Nanji Town has brought its island natural resources into full play in developing the homestay economy. Based on specific natural landforms, a group of homestays with different styles has been built on the island. At present, the town has built over 50 homestays, seeing the tourism income exceeding 100 million yuan (some 15 million U.S. dollars) in 2018.
