Shanghai is converting the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC) into a makeshift hospital with a planned capacity of 40,000 beds.

Jinniu District in Chengdu reported one confirmed COVID-19 case Tuesday. The residential community and nearby regions have been blocked and residents nucleic acid tested.

Of all the cases, seven were reported in Shanghai, two in Guangdong, and one each in Shanxi, Jiangsu, Fujian and Hainan.Three new suspected cases arriving from outside the mainland were reported across the mainland on Thursday.

No suspected COVID-19 cases or new deaths related to COVID-19 were reported on Monday.

One new suspected case arriving from outside the mainland was reported in Shanghai on Sunday, said the report, adding that no new deaths related to COVID-19 were reported.
