"Jinbo" is short for CIIE in Chinese. Fourteen containers filled with products to be displayed at the CIIE are en route via Poland, Belarus, Russia, the Chinese land port of Manzhouli in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region to Shanghai.

With 82 routes, the trains now reach 200 cities in 24 European countries, forming a transport network covering the whole of Europe.

Loaded with over 980 tonnes of goods, a China-Europe freight train departed from Shanghai on Thursday afternoon for Almaty, Kazakhstan, Shanghai Customs said.

The train, carrying motorcycles, vehicle brackets and other commodities worth 3.1 million U.S. dollars, is expected to arrive in the Dutch city after a journey of 22 days.

In the first five months of this year, "Qilu" trains made 751 trips between Jinan, the provincial capital of Shandong, and their overseas destinations, up 3.6 percent year on year.
