Longnan City in Gansu: The land of olives in China

Longnan City in Gansu Province is also known as “the land of olives in China”. The olive industry, as the poverty alleviation pillar here, has benefited more than 400,000 people in 44 villages and towns.

Now Longnan boasts 21 olive processing factories, which produce over 80 olive-related products. Longnan is listed No.1 in terms of planting area, fresh olive yield, crude oil yield and economic benefits.
