Eryi Building: largest single Tulou in Fujian Province

Photos taken on Nov. 16, 2021 show Eryi Building, the largest single Fujian Tulou, or earthen building, in Dadi Village, Southeast China's Fujian Province. Built for 30 years, Eryi Building was completed in 1770. It covers an area of 9,300 square meters and has a diameter of 73.4 meters. It is a key cultural heritage structure under state protection. Fujian Tulou is a type of Chinese rural dwellings of the Hakka people in the mountainous areas in Fujian. Its layout features an enclosure wall with living quarters around the peripheral and a common courtyard at the center.
