Street vendors revive China’s economy in the aftermath of Covid-19

Street peddlers are invited to “reopen their businesses” in streets as the government says “Street-store economy is bringing cities back to life” in the aftermath of the pandemic.

Meanwhile, despite China sees a GDP growth rate at 3.2% in the second quarter of 2020, some concern the role of street market plays in driving the whole economy is limited.
