Hong Kong saw about 3.4 million visitor arrivals in May
Hong Kong saw about 3.4 million visitor arrivals in May, up around 20 percent year on year, the Hong Kong Tourism Board said.
In the first five months of this year, Hong Kong registered about 18 million tourist arrivals, an increase of about 80 percent year-on-year, the tourism board said in a press release.
The initial data showed that in May, Hong Kong recorded about 2.63 million visitor arrivals from the Chinese mainland, up 15 percent from last year. The number of visitors outside the mainland saw a year-on-year increase of 43 percent to about 770,000.
