Shikumen

Peking Duck

Indulge in tantalising Peking duck, in a setting influenced by traditional Shanghai architecture, where east meets west. The Chinese trinkets around the restaurant transport you back to the 1940s to remind you to live every night like it’s your last.

Shikumen specialise in Peking duck which takes up to eight hours to prepare, from filling the duck with herbs and spices to coating the skin in a mix of vinegar and sugar, before being slowly cooked to a golden crispy perfection. Carved at your table, the tender meat from both the neck and body are divided up so it can be eaten in two separate stages. The neck is considered to be a premium delicacy, which is sliced into a specific nine pieces for you enjoy dipping into powder sugar.
You will also find a long list of dim sum on offer including signature dishes such as the seafood and black truffle Xiao long bao alongside the interesting east meets west option of chicken and cheese.
