The 16th China (Yongkang) International Door Industry Expo Polishes the “Capital of Doors” Brand

On May 26, the three-day 16th China (Yongkang) International Door Industry Expo opened at the Yongkang International Convention and Exhibition Centre. Bringing together upstream and downstream resources across the entire door industry chain, this year’s expo features five indoor exhibition halls and one outdoor exhibition hall. Exhibits cover eight major categories, including household doors, electric doors, customised home furnishings, door accessories, door materials, windows, locks, and equipment.

Yongkang, in Zhejiang Province, is widely known as China’s “Capital of Doors”. It is one of the world’s most concentrated hubs for the door manufacturing industry, with the broadest market reach, the strongest standards leadership, and outstanding achievements in technological innovation and brand development. As a major industry event rooted in Yongkang, the Door Expo has, after more than a decade of growth and refinement, evolved from a regional trade fair into a highly influential professional exhibition for China and the global door industry. It has become not only an important driver for the high-quality development of Yongkang’s door industry, but also an “industry vane” for new product launches, technological exchanges, business matchmaking, resource sharing, and observing industry trends.

This year’s expo continues to demonstrate strong appeal. Since online booth applications opened, enterprises from across China and abroad have actively registered to participate. Statistics show that 621 domestic and international companies have confirmed participation this year, among which 339 companies are from outside the Yongkang-Wuyi-Jinyun region, accounting for 54.5% of the total.

Every edition of the Door Expo brings fresh highlights, and this year is no exception. Compared with previous editions, this year’s expo has further optimised its exhibition layout by introducing several featured zones, including an automatic and electric door exhibition area, a Xiaolan lock exhibition area, an outdoor aluminium art door exhibition area, and a door accessories exhibition area (Hardware City market). The more refined and specialised layout enables buyers to visit exhibits with greater precision and conduct business matchmaking more efficiently.

To further enhance exhibition effectiveness, this year’s expo continues to focus on digitalisation by maintaining both online and offline venues, providing “digital wings” for the event through a dual-platform model. During the expo, it hosted special sourcing fairs for the “Belt and Road” countries, as well as Europe and the US. Over 100 professional international buyers from dozens of countries have been invited to attend, creating a practical and highly efficient matchmaking platform for suppliers and buyers.

Leveraging exhibitions to gather wisdom and conferences to empower the industry, the expo is also holding four industry conferences alongside the exhibition activities: the 1st Members’ Congress of Outdoor Aluminum Art Doors and Building Products Industry, the 9th Architectural Door Industry Technology Innovation and Development Conference, the launch meeting for drafting the national standard Steel Doors and Windows, and a symposium on the application of new materials for architectural doors and windows. These events focus on topics such as urban renewal, residential design, and steel door and window standards, injecting fresh momentum into the high-quality development of the industry.

Another highlight is the debut of the Yongkang Hardware Outlets Factory Store, innovatively created by the Hardware City Group, which officially entered trial operation during the expo. Integrating cost-effective local hardware products, the factory store introduces a new retail format and adds a fresh consumer experience scenario to the exhibition.

Exhibition services have also been comprehensively upgraded. In addition to continuing convenient measures such as free admission, free parking, and free shuttle bus routes, the expo has improved the overall visitor experience through comprehensive venue environment upgrades, renovation of facilities and equipment, enhanced catering services, and strengthened safety and security measures, providing exhibitors and buyers with more thoughtful and professional services.
