China Post’s Bell and Drum Towers stamp, part of the Beijing Central Axis series, is named World’s Best Stamp 2025 and wins top honours in global competition.
China Post announced on April 9th that a Chinese stamp has won top global recognition, CNS reported.
The stamp, Bell and Drum Towers, is part of the Beijing Central Axis special issue under the World Cultural Heritage series. It received the title of “World’s Best Stamp 2025.” It also ranked No.1 in the Best Mixed Printing Stamp category.
The competition was jointly organised by the Universal Postal Union, the World Association for the Development of Philately, and the Philatelic Federation of South Africa.
This marked the first global edition of the award launched by the Universal Postal Union. A total of 195 stamps and souvenir sheets entered the competition. They came from 66 countries and regions, as well as the United Nations Postal Administration.
The awards covered five categories, each with three winners. Judges then chose one final entry as the World’s Best Stamp.
The Bell and Drum Towers stamp stood out among all finalists. Its design highlights one of Beijing’s most iconic landmarks along the historic central axis. The result reflects both strong visual design and advanced printing techniques.
