Mint Green Labubu Toy Sells for ¥1.08 Million at Beijing Auction

A rare mint green Labubu toy sold for ¥1.08 million at the Yongle 2025 Spring Auction in Beijing, marking a record-breaking moment for POP MART collectibles.

On June 10, a rare mint-green Labubu figure sold for ¥1.08 million (approximately $150,000) at the Yongle 2025 Spring Auction in Beijing. The toy became the top-selling item of the event and a new benchmark in the art toy market.

This was the world’s first auction dedicated to first-generation collectible Labubu figures. The featured mint green Labubu stands 131 cm tall, made of PVC, and labeled as the only one of its kind in the world. In addition, its size and rarity sparked intense bidding.

Another Labubu figure, a limited-edition brown version (one of just 15 worldwide), also drew strong interest. It sold for ¥820,000 (about $113,000).

It is worth mentioning that Labubu is a signature character from POP MART, a leading Chinese designer toy brand. POP MART has gained global popularity in recent years. Its success boosted the fortune of founder Wang Ning, who now has a net worth of $20.3 billion, according to Forbes (June 8). Wang has surpassed Qin Yinglin to become the richest person in Henan Province.
